ORRVILLE, Ohio, July 17 /PRNewswire/ -- On July 17, 1997, the Board of Directors of The J.M. Smucker Company (NYSE: SJM.A and SJM.B) Orrville, Ohio, declared a 13 cents per share dividend on the Common Shares of the Company, both Class A and Class B, to be paid on September 2, 1997, to shareholders of record at the close of business on August 19, 1997.
