JM Smucker: Richard K. Smucker To Resume CFO Role June 1
ORRVILLE, Ohio (Dow Jones)--J. M. Smucker Co. President and Co-Chief Executive Richard K. Smucker will once again assume the additional role of chief financial officer, effective June 1.
In a press release Friday, the maker of jams and jellies said Smucker, who held the chief financial officer post from January 1978 to September 1999, will replace Steven J. Ellcessor.
Ellcessor's resignation is effective June 30, giving him enough time to transition his administration and corporate secretary responsibilities to other company officials. He decided to leave the Orrville, Ohio-based concern after 17 years so that he can focus on personal family issues that needed his "immediate attention."
