Prior to retiring, Ms. Pianalto also chaired the Federal Reserve’s Financial Services Policy Committee, which is a committee of senior Federal Reserve Bank officials responsible for overall direction of financial services and related support functions for the Federal Reserve Banks and for leadership in the evolving U.S. payment system. She is a director, the chair of the finance committee, and a member of the audit committee of Eaton Corporation plc, a publicly traded power management company. She is also a director and member of the audit and compensation committees of FirstEnergy Corp., a publicly traded utility holding company, and a director and member of the finance, corporate governance and business ethics, and corporate social responsibility oversight committees of Prudential Financial, Inc., a publicly traded financial services institution. Ms. Pianalto is also a member of the boards of several non-profit organizations. The Board unanimously approved Ms. Pianalto serving on four public company boards as required under the Guidelines.

He served as Chairman of the Board from August 1987 through April 2016 and as Co-Chief Executive Officer from February 2001 through August 2011. Mr. Smucker is the Chairman Emeritus of the GS1 Management Board, a leading global organization dedicated to the design and implementation of global standards and solutions to improve the efficiency and visibility of the supply and demand chains globally and across sectors. In addition, Mr. Smucker serves as a trustee on The Ohio State University Board of Trustees. Mr. Smucker is the brother of Richard K. Smucker and the father of Mark T. Smucker, both of whom serve as Directors and executive officers of the Company.
